Inspired by the toffee-filled Quality Street®, Rolo® chocolate was created by Mackintosh’s in 1937. It launched its now iconic tube with elegant gold foil. Its popularity soared in the 1980s with what is arguably one of the most memorable taglines in chocolate history, “Do you love anyone enough to give them your last Rolo?” This simple tagline was a playful challenge that captured the spirit of a sharing moment.

Rolo® was originally produced in Norwich until the factory was destroyed in a World War II bombing raid. Today, they’re made at Nestlé Confectionery’s Halifax factory, bringing joy to chocolate lovers around the world.
