You will need:
- 1 empty tube of SMARTIES®
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Wooden Skewer
- Scissors
- Garden Twine
- Peanut Butter
- Bird Seed
Step-by-step
- Cut SMARTIES® Tube in half.
- Measure and mark 2cm from each end of the tube, and repeat on the opposite side of the tube.
- Use a sharp pencil to punch through the tube at each marked point.
- Carefully push the wooden skewer through the holes near the closed end of the tube.
- Carefully cut the skewer at approximately 10cm, also removing the sharp point.
- Thread garden twine through the holes at the top and tie a knot.
- Now it's time to cover the tube in peanut butter.
- Press the bird feeder into a dish of bird seed, covering the whole surface in seeds. Make sure to press the seeds into the peanut butter so it doesn’t fall off once hanging outside.
- Now it's time to choose the right place in your garden to hang your bird feeders!
