Lion® was launched by Rowntree’s® in 1976.
The 1980 TV ads, titled "In the Wild," showcased real lions filmed on location in their natural habitat.
In 2004, Lion® partnered with the TV channel Animal Planet to promote the new and improved chocolate bar.
In 2021, Lion® launched a Wild Peanut variant.
