The Purple One
According to our 2016 survey to find the Nation’s Favourite, The Purple One is the most popular type, featuring smooth caramel and a crunchy hazelnut encased in rich milk chocolate. Its purple wrapper is instantly recognisable and the combination of gooey, crunchy and creamy textures makes it the most famous of all the Quality Street® flavours.
The Purple One originally featured a brazil nut, which gave it its characteristic shape. However, supply shortages that followed World War 2 gave the native UK hazelnut its moment to shine, and it’s been charming the taste buds of the nation ever since.

The Green Triangle

Strawberry Delight

The history of Quality Street
The Quality Street® story began in 1936 when toffee manufacturer Harold Mackintosh had a dream to bring the then-rare luxury of boxed chocolates to households across the UK. And while much has changed since those early days, shared moments over Green Triangles, Toffee Pennies, the Purple One® and all the other vibrant flavours remain as special as ever. Discontinued flavours
